Catch Up

It has been a year since my last blog post. That is about the time I signed up for Facebook. Here are some pics to catch up.

This picture was taken by me at my older brother, Aaron's house on July 24, 2011. I told my Mom that she looked "sexy" but I don't think that she liked that compliment. She did look so beautiful though, and she never believes me when I tell her that. I love this picture.

This picture was taken the day that my younger brother Curtis maried Stosh in Moab, Utah. It was last June...18th? Not sure about what day in June but this is George and his first cousin once removed, Arianna. It's his first cousin's, daughter. My neices, baby girl. So sweet. I love that he is standing on his tippy toes trying to be taller.

I have a funny video of the two of them at lunch the next day.

Shown in picture, Ryan (holding George), myself, my Aunt Verla, Mom and Dad. We are standing right outside of the Boise Temple just after she was sealed to her deceased Husband Glen. This was in September or October of 2011. I was so happy to get to see my most favorite Aunt and she looked so beautiful in her Wedding dress.

This is all of the cousins that made it to George's 1st Birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa Griffith's on June 23, 2011. (Standing) Conner, Sarah, Katelyn & Tosha. (Seated) Ava, Brynlee, hidden behind George is Maddie, Grace, Baylee and Carson.

This is one of the family pictures we had done in December of 2011. George loves to play with the football...any ball really. He is such a boy!

Spring time in WJ

My favorite time is when I get to spend it with my family, my husband and my baby boy (who is pretty fly for a white guy). The first weekend in April was the warmest day of the year and we took full advantage of it. We went to the park with some bubbles and the Momarazzi that I strive to be took some pix of my B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L boys.

George has grown out of our Jungle Jumper that we have at home but he still fits into and loves the Jumper at Grandma’s house. When he gets really excited he can’t jump fast enough. His smile lights up the room. Lately George's favorite activities are opening and closing doors and opening and closing drawers. He can entertain himself in his bedroom for at least 20 minutes at a time playing the plastic drawers. It's great! We have been practicing waiving bye-bye and last night he did it all on his own. He waived to his daddy right before I put him to bed. Very exciting!

Nine months old and counting...

What a joy this boy is to Ryan and I. In the Disney movie Dumbo the young Dumbo elephant has a chance to go see his Mother, who is caged up in a train car. She can only reach her trunk outside of the window and down to his height. He swings in her large trunk and the song Baby Mine plays. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I love that song and sing it to George often, here are the lyrics: Baby mine, don't you cry Baby mine, dry your eyes Rest your head close to my heart Never to part, baby of mine Little one when you play Don't you mind what you say Let those eyes sparkle and shine Never a tear, baby of mine If they knew sweet little you They'd end up loving you too All those same people who scold you What they'd give just for The right to hold you From your head to your toes You're not much, goodness knows But you're so precious to me Cute as can be, baby of mine

Daniel Summit

Saturday Ryan and I were invited to go snowmobiling with my brothers, Jeff and Aaron, or as they call it, sledding. We don't leave George very often on the weekends, if fact we have only left him once before and that was on our 1 year Wedding Anniversary. And I have never been on a "sled" before and to tell you the truth I was extremely nervous (I didn't sleep much the night before). (Looks like Ryan is sleeping is this picture)

We met them up at Daniel Summit in Heber, Utah. We had a nice hot breakfast (I had the waffles with strawberries and Ryan had the biscuits and gravy). Then we got all bundled up and went cruising. Once I got going I felt very comfortable, just as I do on my 4 wheeler. Ryan and I followed Aaron and Jeff up and down the hills all morning and afternoon. It was a perfect day and I really enjoyed spending the day with my husband and brothers. (Pictured above from left to right: Jeff, Ryan, Steph and Aaron).

Sunday we took George and Buddy out for a walk. This is a daily occurrence in the warmer seasons and we try to get out as much as possible in the winter. If it's above 40 degrees Fahrenheit then it's warm enough.

We are ready for take off/8 months old

George is officially crawling now and it is so cute! He was really good at the Army scoot on his belly and then he found his knees. So now he can easily get to Buddy and pester him all day long. George starts getting close and Buddy will look up at us with his puppy dog eyes and say, "please don't let him get any closer to me!"

But we let him, of course because it is so cute, and Buddy takes his pokes and prods for about 30 seconds and then he moves to another room. Then George goes looking for him and they do it all over again.

George's second favorite thing to do is get in Buddy's kennel and bang on the door.

I can see a great future for the two of them. Soon George will be sitting, standing and riding him like a horse and they will be life long friends. I hope!

This is my little guy with his face buried in his crib. He loves his face covered when he sleeps and he has been like this since he was born. I still check on him way too often to make sure he is still breathing!

He is loving his graham crackers! However he only loved them for two days. After that he wouldn't eat them, he would just smash them up and throw them to the floor. That means the dog gets to eat it and Buddy stays close by when George is eating. He learned quickly that things get to the floor way more often now.

He is 7 months old now. Here a couple of pictures taken on January 23rd.

You can see his awesome Mohawk! He is one cool dude!

6 Months old

Christmas came and went and it was fun, mostly for Ryan and I. George was just happy to look at all of the lights on the Christmas tree. He is now a little over 6 months old and he is just starting to get a little independent. He almost sits on his own and he almost eats "solid" food. I mean I can get him to take a few bites without him gagging but he doesn't just open up his mouth and take whatever I give him. The only time he open his mouth for me is when I am sharing some ice cream with him, well, and this past Sunday he did very well with Grandma Griffith's yummy mashed potatoes. We keep trying all of the other good stuff too!

These pictures were taken around Christmas time:
1. Ryan playing with George in his bedroom with funny hats on
2. Tyson and George on Christmas Day (they didn't want their picture taken I guess, because they both starting fussing when I picked them up)
3. George showing off to grandma and grandpa how well he can sit up on his own
4. Just being his regular happy boy.

At his last weigh in during his 6 month check up he was 17.4 lbs and 26 inches long. That is just a little above average on height and weight. He wakes up every morning with a huge grin on his face and it is a very nice way to start the day.
